Broadening Corporate Board Diversity:Earning a Board Seat 2019

This program is designed for women and minorities who want to learn more about corporate board service. Topics include the job of a director, the skills needed and how to develop them, realistic approaches to advancing your candidacy for a board of directors' position, diverse directors in non-diverse settings, and evaluating companies and opportunities. Enrollment is limited and based upon application. Priority for enrollment will be given to applicants from sponsoring entities. We also maintain a computerized database of potential diverse directors (many from this program). Corporate nominating committees are invited to contact to identify board candidates from this database, and potential directors are invited to register on the database.

Applicants that submit their materials by April 27 will be notified by May 1 if their application has been accepted for enrollment. Those who submit their materials April 28 and later will be notified within one week of the receipt of their application.  Enrollment in this program is limited.  Priority will be given to applicants from sponsoring entities.  Sponsorships are available for $1,000.  Each sponsoring entity will receive recognition in all program materials and two complimentary program enrollments.  Please contact Lissa Broome, for additional information about sponsorship or about requesting a reduced attendee rate.
